Many promotions on the micro-caps are done in a very short term manner- this is a product of the late 90s and early 2000s when email newsletters became a big thing. Not all companies are interested in very short-term promos though; some actually have a horizon of more than a day.
Did You Know?
Your news releases could have much bigger reach than just sending them out on the wires?
Do you know there are free news wires that your releases can get picked up by other news services and blogs?
Can your website be found on Google for something else besides your exact company name?
Do you know how powerful a good blog can be?
Do you have your company profile at a high traffic website?
All of these tools are very good as standalone tools but if you combine some or all of them, it is a great combination. There is certainly somewhat of a learning curve with everything new. Problem is… people want to skip right past the learning part and just do it without putting in the time to get at least the basics.
Here is an example: Yesterday someone from a stock promotional company contacted me about “working together”. I called them and they gave me a sales pitch. That sales pitch included helping me get more visibility through links and keywords. Before I called them, I ran HubSpot‘s Website Grader on their site. They scored an 11. Lowest score I have ever seen. I have ran over 100 public and private company sites through the website grader and the average score is in the mid 40s. In other words, unless someone was looking specifically for that company by name, they would never find them.
Can your company be found?
